February Wine Club!

 Hi Barsha wine lovers! We have a wonderful Valentine’s themed club this month, classico starts off with a food friendly sparkling lambrusco and finishes with a full, lush Portuguese red blend. Our riserva begins with a crisp, fresh sparkling brut rose and ends with a rich Sonoma Pinot. We hope you all enjoy this month & the amazing recipes!

Cleto Chiarli Vecchia Modena DOC 2015
Emilia Romagna, Italy

100% Lambrusco di Sorbara
CHIARLI is the most ancient producer of typical wines from Emilia-Romagna. The Company was founded in 1860. This dry Lambrusco is made from premium grapes selected in the vines of Azienda Agricola Chiarli of Sozzigalli (Sorbara), located in the fertile soils of northern Modena. Dry, sapid, round taste, pleasantly acidulous, fine and fading froth, light and lively colour with rosé shades. Characteristically pleasant and intense aroma.




Quinta Do Tedo Douro DOC 2012

Touriga Nacional,Tinta Roriz,Touriga Francesa grapes.
All grapes are picked by hand in order to select the best. The vineyards of Quinta do Tedo are classified as "Class-A" vineyards. This rating is the highest that can be given to a vineyard by the official Instituto do Vinho do Porto. Bouquet of black fruits (ripe, blackcurrant), raspberries, spice, vanilla and toast, it is harmonious, with full body, savory, fruit filled palate, mature tannins, fruity and with a long and persistent finish.

The 2015 harvest was the earliest in decades. Warmer weather in August resulted in earlier bud break, after which a warm, dry windy summer accelerated ripening by approximately two weeks. The dry weather also lead to a very healthy vintage – one with beautiful layers of fruit, hand-harvested at optimum sugar levels.
The exquisite sparkling rosé reflects its elegance and grace. The wine is filled with fresh red berry pockets and a sublime finish of quince notes on the nose and the palate. The subtle, yet crispy, acidity makes this Méthode Cap Classique is lively and refreshing sparkling Rose.

Built in 1992 with a capacity of 15,000 cases, the winery sits on a hill surrounded by vines. Its three barrel rooms with independent temperature and humidity controls provide flexibility to experiment with various vinification techniques.
Luscious, vibrant nose of black cherry and ripe red fruits like Santa Rosa plums, with notes of orange peel and clove in the background. The firm, rich tannins promise a long life; would benefit from decanting to open up its captivating aromas and flavors.
