Northeast Ohio: An Air Quality Advisory for ground-level ozone has been issued for Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage and Summit Counties. The advisory will be effective through Wednesday, May 17, 2017. Air quality levels will be 'Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups' during this period.
If you are in the 'Sensitive Groups' category of children, the elderly and those with breathing difficulties, please monitor your outdoor activity and check live map of air quality readings.

Avoid open burning. Smoke resulting from burning of leaves and brush, other vegetation, as well as backyard trash contains a number of hazardous air pollutants.
Limit the use of gas powered yard equipment and construction equipment. Particles and chemicals released during gasoline combustion can aggravate asthma.
Choose public transportation. Its safe, easy and affordable!
The Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency (NOACA), in partnership with the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (Ohio EPA), the Cleveland Division of Air Quality, the Akron Regional Air Quality Management District, the Akron Metropolitan Area Transportation Study, the Lake County General Health District, and Ohio University, has forecasted this Advisory based on predicted weather patterns.
