This spring Architecture & Design Film Festival (ADFF) will present two exciting film programs accompanied by some great talks and Q&A’s.
ADFF:Tulsa will take place April 20-23 at the historic Circle Cinema in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The event is presented by the Tulsa Foundation for Architecture and we will be screening 21 films from 9 countries. To purchase tickets, click here.




Opening night will feature the fantastic Canadian film Strange and Familiar: Architecture on Fogo Island. Director Katherine Knight will be on hand for a post-screening Q&A.





Other speakers include Paul Goldberger from Vanity Fair who will have a conversation with ADFF Director Kyle Bergman after the screening of Getting Frank Gehry. Following the conversation will be a book signing of Goldberger’s recent book Building Art: The Life and Work of Frank Gehry.


Paul Makovsky from Metropolis Magazine  will also be on hand to moderate a panel following the screening of Gray Matters, a film about Eileen Gray. Eric Saarinen will host a Q&A after Eero Saarinen: The Architect Who Saw the Future.




Other filmmakers in attendance will be Tom Piper, Director, Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall: Five Seasons with Piet Oudolf; Geoffrey Madeja, Director, Citizen of the Planet; Mike Dorsey, Director, The Oyler House: Richard Neutra’s Desert Retreat; and Kirk Brown, President of Design Onscreen and the producer of The Nature of Modernism: E. Stewart Williams, Architect.


On Thursday, April 27th we will screen Design That Heals, followed by a conversation with ADFF and Mass Design.






Also speaking at the I Look Up Film Series are Eric Saarinen and Peter Rosen, Director of Eero Saarinen: The Architect Who Saw the Future. This conversation will be moderated by Ultan Guilfoyle, Producer, Sketches of Frank Gehry.





At the convention there will also be films about noteworthy architects such as Richard Neutra, Bjarke Ingles, Sir Nichols Grimshaw, Eileen Gray, Stephen Holl, Paul Rudolph, Todd Saunders, Michael Murphy, Gensler and Foster & Partners and Eero Saarinen.





On Saturday, April 29th at 9:00 there will be a session on the I Look Up Film Challenge for those interested in creating a film for the competition. The 2017 I Look Up Film Challenge  will be announced during the convention and the 2017 winners will be screened at opening night of ADFF:NY on November 1st. For more information about
